Ch.25

An Interview with One in Hell

The rich man also died and was buried,
and in Hades, being in torment,
he lifted up his eyes
and saw Abraham far off
and Lazarus at his side.
And he called out,
“Father Abraham, have mercy on me,
and send Lazarus
to dip the end of his finger in water
and cool my tongue,
for I am in anguish in this flame.”

(Luke 16:22b–24)

CEV Circle diagram 11: God’s great plan is completed. Satan and the man of sin and the organized nations could not stop it. The fallen angels and all unbelievers are cast into the lake of fire, and God punishes them forever. (The diagram shows Satan in the center, but he is not the “king of hell.” He is the one under the greatest punishment. Satan and the other fallen angels have no power in the lake of fire.) There will be no more grace, mercy, peace, or rest. These blessings of the past are gone forever. Praise God for His perfect holiness and justice!
