From Adam to Noah
By faith Noah,
being warned by God
concerning events as yet unseen,
in reverent fear
constructed an ark
for the saving of his household.
By this he condemned the world
and became an heir
of the righteousness
that comes by faith.
(Hebrews 11:7)
CEV Circle diagram 4: The rescued are shown by a small circle with an R. When they die, they are in heaven with their Rescuer. On earth, two lines of descendants come from Adam and Eve. The first is the line of Cain, their oldest son, who murdered his younger brother Abel. The second is the line of Seth, the son God gave to take the place of Abel. No one from the line of Cain was on the ark, and it may be that no one from the seven generations of Cain was rescued. Those rescued came from the line of Seth (like Enoch in Genesis 5:24).
